The State of Hawaii intends to have all produce grown organically by 2017. Writes a spokesperson, it just isn't practical to be touting Green and energy independence yet still burning barrels of fossil fuel to import millions of tons of produce and chemical fertilizers to our gardening paradise.
This stated intention naturally accelerates the mission started decades ago by countless island visionaries.
