There is a way to continue broadcasting on public radio without annoying its listeners by begging them for money. The most recent trend is to shame and blame.
Equally annoying are the 60 seconds every few minutes of the same worded acknowledgments of donors and advertisers. The mind automatically shuts down when it hears something that's being repeated; it triggers unconscious disrespect and resentment.
Yet another annoyance: Someday someone will vote to stop the frequent "Station identifications." Once per day is enough.
