A news report I'd like to see.
Pahoa station of the Big Isle Police Department to begin Leadership Training Program.
- Picture a community in which teens via for acceptance to the Police Academy -- for an opportunity to work at the highest level of integrity.
Every member
1 of the Pahoa branch of the Hawaii Police Department (including its civil servants) will meet with a Communicologist (leadership-relationship communication-skills coach) for three-hours every other week for four years. Due to vacation schedules and other "duty call" related excused absences, participants may attend make-up sessions during identical support group meetings on alternate weeks.
Unique to the Leadership Training Program there is nothing to learn or memorize, no outside reading; one cannot pass or fail the course. One cannot be fired for telling a truth. 100% attendance is the requirement for completing the course, in essence, a series of successful conversations. What works is truthful, responsible communication, zero significant
2 withholds.
Unlike most classes/courses
3 Leadership Training begins each 3-hr session with an acknowledgment process. This clearing process is a safe space to address incompletes, concerns, and topics of interest, all discussed through to mutual satisfaction. To an observer it may appear that there is no course outline or curriculum, however, at the end of the four years, one will notice that they have addressed
all the principles and fundamentals of communication, of leadership.
The educational process is referred to as "Discovery Learning," "just-in-time," learning what one needs to know when needed. At its most basic level, each participant has on-call their own coaching consultant supporting them (and their family members) in success, health, happiness, and prosperity. A typical parent (unconsciously, non-verbally) teaches their child to deceive, evidenced by the fact that the majority of teens con each other into deceiving both sets of parents so as to have sex. Parents-to-be learned this skill by emulating their "teachers." That is to say, virtually all those titled "teacher" are withholding one or more significant thoughts from one or both of their parents. There are no exceptions to this phenomenon.
Note: Virtually all police departments have one or more officers whom everyone, if they had a choice, would insist upon the officer's resignation; instead, all non-verbally condone (reward) this person's behaviors. Most of these same law enforcement professionals, and their spouses, non-verbally support infidelities amongst its members. All have an
understanding of the correlation between one's personal integrity and results but none operate as though they
know it. That is to say, all, using their present leadership skills, are in the process of discovering the communication skills it will take to inspire exemplary integrity in their personal and professional relationships.
None have attended a Leadership Training Program.
During the Training, a civil servant who chooses to withhold a significant perpetration from others will predictably resign, or they will campaign (badmouth-trash-talk) against the Leadership Training Program. I.e. Here in East Hawaii we all know of an officer who used to grow and sell marijuana; such withholds always affect desired outcomes, for us all. Picture a community in which teens via for acceptance to the Police Academy, for an opportunity to work at the highest level of integrity.
It's important to note that a "rookie," fresh from the Police Academy, who observes a fellow officer committing a significant perpetration, one who is thwarting the intentions of the Chief, must remain silent.
Rookies are not taught how to responsibly address integrity issues. Within days of joining a department, a rookie begins their life of unique deceptions, hiding thoughts they can't talk about with anyone, even one's spouse. A Police Chief is unconscious; he/she sincerely believes that what they know and learned
about communication is what it
is, oblivious of the undesirable effects they are having throughout their community. Withholds affect one's ability to manifest stated intentions. Citizens have no choice other than to mirror the integrity of their law enforcement professionals.
1 Upon completion of the program each participant will be able to facilitate his/her own 4-yr Leadership Training Program.
2 "significant" A withhold, a thought, is considered significant if communicating it verbally would cause upset/anger. Fleeting nonrecurring thoughts are not considered withholds.
3 "classes/courses" The major difference between most high school/college "classes/courses" and a training is that without training one can graduate not having demonstrated that they learned what the "teacher" presented; with "Training" one learns the skill, no excuses, no reasons.
