News release I'd like to read:

Green Party supports short hair

A spokesperson for the Green Party in Hawaii announced that it has redoubled its focus on water conservation beginning with asking party members and supporters to set an example by keeping their hair shorter than two inches.

". . . given that a person with long hair obviously uses more water to wash, rinse, and condition their hair, and that they often do so one or more times each week, and that at least 1/4 of the US population has hair longer than two inches, it's not hard to envision the trillions of gallons of water we all could save if we opted for shorter hair."

"Studies reveal that a person with long hair uses between 1 and 5 more gallons per hair wash than does a person with short hair. We're talking about billions of gallons that could be saved nationwide each day."

"It's hypocritical for us Green Party members to have long hair and be espousing environmental consciousness." "Simply talking about this subject (bringing the thought to the front of the mind so each person can make a conscious choice) will ultimately conserve water."
