About being a Support Group Participant Accepting Volunteers Now! Each of the support groups have ten
volunteer Support Group Participants. I.e. ten teachers or ten parents
or ten
parolees, etc.
A support group meets once a week at the same time, for
3-hours, on the same day each week, for 24-weeks. Between sessions support group participants
pair off (with a new partner each week) and exchange goals (things to
do). Partners communicate with each other throughout the week via phone
or email. The objective is to communicate in such a way as to cause your
partner to complete his/her week's goals. The objective is for
all ten support group participants to achieve their goals each week. Between

Participants have access to each other, the TV
viewers, and the Facilitator, via the
Support Group Message Boards.
Participants have each other's email address. The Community Support Group Message
Board The message board has 5 categories: All
five categories are password protected. Support Group Participant Prerequisites Upon completion of the 24-week support group Participants will receive a letter of commendation attesting to the fact that they have demonstrated: 1) A willingness and ability to work at a high level of integrity. 2) An ability to communicate responsibly. 3) Exceptional reliability and trustworthiness. 4) An ability to function as a team member. 5) An ability to keep agreements and to honor their word. Register to be a Support Group Participant Step 1: Click the Register button and complete the Message Board Registration Form (it's free). Step 2: You'll receive an email with a link to Activate your registration. Once you have activated your registration post a test post on the Message Board [Subject: "_ _ _ _'s test post"] using the user name you chose. Step 3: Email us your full name, email address, home & cell phone numbers, and a brief statement with the name of the support group in which you'd like to be one of the ten Participants—teachers, parents, parolees, etc.—(teachers must all come from the same school). Step 4: When we receive your email and see that you have posted your test post we'll email you the password to the Participant's Message Board. Press "Return" button to return to the Home page.
